I'm interested to know what is the composition of gamers (enthusiast gamers that is). So my questions are as follows:
1. How old are you?
2. Your occupation?
3. How much many hours of games do you play a week?
4. Do you have any other activities (such as sports, music etc).
5. Woudl you consider quiting your job to become a progamer?
The reason i ask is because i get the gut feeling that there is now a larger community out there.
For myself the answers are as follows:
1. 24
2. Solicitor (Lawyer)
3. probably 16 hrs.
4. Just full time study as well (doing my masters)
5. Probably not, cos i like my job =P.
1. How old are you? 22
2. Your occupation? Student, undergraduate
3. How much many hours of games do you play a week? about 2 hours/day on weekdays, and anywhere up to 8-10 hours/day on weekends (sometimes 0, depends if I have any activity on). So.. I would say average 21 hours?
4. Do you have any other activities (such as sports, music etc). play guitar, drums, and basketball
5. Woudl you consider quiting your job to become a progamer? Nah, don't have the talent for it. Also, can't earn much unless you're really top level. And probably early retirement + carpal tunnel syndrome LOL.
@Dox - arakan martial arts?!?! what on earth is that lol.

3. 0-20. There are weeks I can't play at all, or weeks I have loads of free time.
4. Long-distance hiking. 2-3 days out in the wild make me feel good. I also play guitar, love acoustic blues.
5. No.
Progaming is not job. Can't be sure, but I don't think a single progamer comes from a low-income background. The only example that comes to mind - WhiteRa. But as far as I know, he used to run a cyber cafe until he could afford to play professionally. A lot of progamers are full-time students, supported at the moment by student loans or parents.

4. Do you have any other activities (such as sports, music etc). Married, continuing education.
5. Woudl you consider quiting your job to become a progamer? I doubt it. I'd lose passion for it fast, a lot of pressure and stress and not a lot of return compared to other career paths.

1. How old are you? 21 2. Your occupation? Student (Music graduate, currently studying mathematics) 3. How much many hours of games do you play a week? Not more than 15 on a typical University semester week. Can easily be 35+ when I have a whole week to myself. 4. Do you have any other activities (such as sports, music etc). Nope. 5. Woudl you consider quiting your job to become a progamer? It'd be nice, but I honestly don't have the motivation nor the commitment to do so.

Are you familiar with Miguel? (Michael Rogers' band?)
He's by far my favourite Jazz musician. The voice of Sinatra and the charisma of Buble!
