The OSC team are looking for a keen word-smith to step up and fill a void in sc2sea. Despite the scene being extremely active with a huge increase in tournaments and $'s on offer, there isn't a lot of news content atm, and we want to do something about this. Keeping in mind that this is SEA, and esports funds are still limited, we are prepared to give that extra little $ incentive to whoever may be interested.

I think 2 a week is probably too much for us. I'd more like something like the teamliquid thread of "This week in starcraft" except just for the sea scene, maybe ask for replays. look at vods, if you read that thread on TL it's basically just a recap of the week with 'best vods' 'best replays' 'fluff' 'tournaments'.
Anyways just my thoughts. Quality > quantity. gl to whoever takes up the challenge
Now with my smart ass quota filled for the day I would like to say that I will be having a good solid attempt at this vital job. It is something the community has been lacking for a while and it is something we sorely need!

Reason: I dont know what youre talking about Twiggy.
For transparency's sake, I've also PMed Eddie my interest
Good luck to all the fine folks likewise putting their hats in the ring!
Success or not, I want to start interviewing folks in 2015. I came to realise at Xmas I hardly know most of you. Which is a shame =D And I realised other newbies like myself are probably in the same boat.

I Hope who ever gets this position they dont just interview the same people like try and do all the top "pros" in the scene and some up and coming players also, but to who ever gets this Well done and good luck!
I always loved reading the Who's who so would love to see more of those. Always great insights into some of the community. Looks good for any one with the skills required Good luck and looking forward to seeing what you do.

I think there is heaps of stuff which can be done. One a post week is too easy. One interview. One review. One update. One preview, etc. The who's who database is 3-4 years old and is well in need of an update. Shouldn't be short on ideas any time soon.
Huge props to Eddie for making this available, good luck to all who apply!
Two posts a week is not very demanding at all, a simple interview and a recap of a tournament, for example. If you're #dedicated to the scene, then you should be watching the tournaments anyway and taking notes of the matches as they're played - half the work is done for you!
Hopefully whoever fills this role can bring some new blood to the SC2SEA community and shine some light on the lesser known participants.
once i get into a flat mid feb, id be keen to help you out in some way Eddie if you still need people, for free too. I wouldn't mind doing a main tournament recap or something, if there's still a need.
Im curious about how your going to select the person for this? Is it an interview? A portfolio? A challenge to the death involving elaborate tasks each more death defying than the last and the last person to survive wins?

I want to see at least 2 peices of work posted, preferably different styles, eg one interview, one preview.
If there are 2 people both pretty even in my eyes, might hire both and review again in 2 months.
There was a lot of interest, around a dozen people, but so far, only 3-4 have posted anything! Everyone else had best get a move on
Both have submitted a variety of quality news pieces (previews, tournament/showmatch recaps, player and community interviews) and we look forward to seeing what they continue to produce.
