The Starcraft 2 Intel Extreme Masters Season 10 qualifiers for the Asian region is just around the corner as players prepare to compete for a spot in IEM Shenzhen.

Ahead of the curve are eight seeded players:

7. Dark
8. Stats

Written below is the schedule of the qualifiers.

Stage 1:

China - Thursday, Jun 18 4:00pm AWST (GMT+8)

• Top 1 player will advance to main event
• 2nd & 3rd placers will advance to Stage 2

Korea & Taiwan - Thursday, Jun 18 5:00pm AWST (GMT+8)

• Top 4 players will advance to Stage 2

SEA & ANZ - Saturday, Jun 20 4:00pm AWST (GMT+8)

• Top 2 players will advance to Stage 2

Stage 2: Sunday, Jun 21 5:00pm AWST (GMT+08:00)
The top 3 players will qualify for a spot in main event


Map Pool: The map pool for the qualifiers will be the Season 2 WCS/ladder map pool

• Cactus Valley LE
• Coda LE
• Echo LE
• Expedition Lost
• Inferno Pools
• Iron Fortress LE
• Vaani Research Station

Map Selection Rules:

• Best of 3 in all rounds. Once the quarter finals round is reached the matches end, and the 8 players then move to stage 2.
• A map veto (removal and pick) system is used. The high seed (lower number) on the bracket chooses who starts. Players take it in removing maps until only one remains in a best of 1 or until only 3 maps remain in a best of 3. Then each player picks a map. Maps are played in order they are picked. The remaining map is played last.

Just a few quick reminders for those joining:

• You must be at least 16 years of age by July 16th 2015 (the date of the LAN event)
• Hotel and flight cost are paid for in full by ESL.
• You must be a citizen (passport) or resident with a valid visa of Asia

I'm presuming this should be, top 3 from Stage 2 will qualify for a spot in main event??

Also, yay for Koreans and no spots at the main event for SEA/ANZ players.. ~_~

SEA with 3 players in Premier, 2 in Round of 16, but no qualifying spot for an event basically in our backyard
