Date: June 25, 2011 - 10am opening/warmup/setting up/registration etc, 11am start time. You're more than welcome to come before hand to get some extra practice in, I'll be there from early in the morning. Location: Arena Internet Cafe, 264-268 Rundle Street, Adelaide SA 5000 (in between Al Fresco and Piatto)
Entry fee: $15 (spectating is free of course)
The tournament will be played on the South East Asia (SEA) server.
The tournament will be a double elimination bracket, with all matches being Best of 3 and the Grand Final being Best of 5.
The map pool will be: Xel'Naga Caverns, Shakuras Plateau, Terminus SE, Metalopolis, Tal'Darim Altar LE (All ESL version, type "ESL" into Create Game search bar to find)
Each player will veto one map each, and will then pick from the remaining maps for the starting map. The loser picks the next map from the two remaining.
Prizes
1st place: $200
2nd place: $100
3rd place: Choice of Tt headset, keyboard or mouse+mousepad.
And a huge thankyou to Dox for donating $100 for the prize pool
We will also be raffling off other items throughout the day, so those who were knocked out early are still able to win some prizes!
Registration
To register, you can do either:
A) Post in this thread with your SEA name and character code (Name.###), race/league would also be helpful
C) Arrive on the day before 11am and register. If you arrive after 11am you won't be able to join.
Other information
Players will be allowed to bring their own mouse, keyboard and mousepad. The computers are more than capable of running StarCraft II at it's highest settings. The monitors are very large (27"), but it may be possible to use smaller monitors if required.
There will be at least 20 PCs dedicated to running the tournament, players will need to report their results immediately once they are finished and they will be told to either pack up for someone else to use the PC or to stay to play another game. We are aiming for as little downtime as possible, so this is imperative to the smooth running of the tournament.
If you have any inquiries please post in this thread, email me at marconofrio1@gmail.com, or message me in game at FXOfrequency.299 (NA and SEA)
