It is with great sadness that Frenetic Array bids farewell to our young star, Hayden 'Wally' Bell.
Hayden showed great skill and growth as a player with under the Frenetic Array banner, however his university commitments have him with far less time to practice and put in the effort he deserves as a competitive player in SC2. This reduced effort into his practice have stifled his competitive drive. Wally always wanted to be the best, but when his efforts didn't match his desires he felt it was time to hang up the mouse.
I would like to personally thank him for his contribution to Frenetic Array over his time with us. Wally may be leaving the team officially, but I will always consider him part of the fray family (the framily kek). I wish you all the best in life and your future and hope that we can stay framily
Thanks for all the fun times. playing on fray was an awesome experience, I got to go to many lans last year and meet many of my friends. I'd like to thank chad for all the support I've gotten whilst on the team. I hope the rest of fray can become what it was formerly and rise to the top again, wish them all the best. I will be taking a step back from competitive sc2 at least for now, maybe even taking a Ryan 'Mother *******' Jones approach to the game. Thanks guys
Other members of fray wanted to say a few words also, so I will ask them to post below.
To have such an inspiration to me and part of the reason I wanted to join fray... leave the team.
For so long I looked up to his play~ I remember watching his stream so many times and being absolutely enthralled by his command of such shitty units (zerg ones),
I remember seeing him take down some really big names in tournaments, and get closed to taking others down...
But most of all, I remember his guidance.
If I was making stupid decisions/bad calls with stuff in game, I could always depend on him to set me straight and really set me on the right path.
Sure, he quit the game too much and raged a little (way) too hard, but that's why we loved him
Before I ramble on about my #fullhomo respect for waldo, I'd like to just finish here by saying~~
Good luck to everything you do man, study hard, dedicate yourself to things you enjoy, and remember the little guys like me when you're world president xoxo
(p.s. Honestly one of the most hard working and talented players SEA has to offer if given time to practice and is in a good head space, will be rough seeing you go mate)
Just so everyone knows, I don't plan to 'quit' sc2, I just plan to be not playing competitively as much and felt like I didn't have any reason to be on a team any more. I put a lot of stress on myself to get results because I felt like I had to carry the team.
I hope to come back to the scene a bit later on, maybe when I have a better mindset or maybe when I feel like my skill level has gotten to a suitable level. This shouldn't really be a sad post, I will still be in chatbox erry day posting dumb shit and talking shit about azz.
Wally and I have been team mates for almost a year, it's definitely sad to see him leave and no longer be around the team. His passion for the game and emotional investment is nigh on unparalleled, and his very presence in the team helped fuel his teammates' competitive drive.
Will miss having you around the team Hayden, but real life focus always comes first. Best of luck with your other commitments as you take this step back. Cheers bud
Given your history and associated tweets, it's hard to take any 'retirement' seriously
All the best though dude. Stepping back to a more casual approach to SC/gaming, and focusing on school is a smart choice. I admire how much you improved over the last 18 months, and hope you can apply that #dedication and talent to other areas.
Look forward to seeing you in challenger league next season!
Sad to see you leave fray, but yeah, school and life probably have to come first over games. You're one of the players I admire the most with your multiple-quitting the game strategy and just being a chill guy overall.. You're also one of the friendliest guys I've met through this site ^
Will miss the rants and crazy stuff in skype chats! Wish you luck in everything!!! Glhf in uni!!
Still hoping this becomes you're usual "I quit" tweets and you come back stronger than ever ^^
Ugh.... this is the worst . You were awesome fun to be on the team with. Itwaa great fun to watch you improve and be ome one of the better players in the scene. Gonna miss having you around and i hope we can be teammates again in the future, but you gotta gowith what you think is right andi think you have a good plan. You know where i am if you ever wanna talk or practice buddy .
I remember meeting you at ACL Brisbane last year, was kind of cool, to meet so many people I have a huge amount of respect for.
during those games I watched of you, from your point of view, was crazy to watch such a good player, you've practiced a lot since those times and have achieved things I could only dream of. Even though you leave Fray, I'm sure you will continue to show good results.
Good luck with your studies Kneezerg.

Although wally is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through us all. He was a brave warrior who never fell in the face of adversity and I'm sure at many times inspired us all. *single tear drips down face*. I.. Don't know... how I will be able to go on without him.
I always felt university was the best time to play SC2, Arze and I definitely put in enough time into the game to compete in the SEA scene in the final year of our engineering degrees. It's surprising to me that people are quitting due to commitment to university, so I guess you take studying much more seriously than I did, but if you put in the same amount of #dedication you have into this game I'm sure you'll do well!

It's more that I am not very strong willed and hopeless at time management so I need to focus on uni or else I just end up leaving no time for Uni after practicing `
