[SEA News]SEA Superstars DemiLove and PSiArc find new homes!
Done by INSANO
In the past week, PSISTORM Gaming and Did You See That?! (DuSt) Gaming bolstered their roster by adding DemiLove and PSiArc respectively. These two players are no strangers to SEA, and no one would wish to play them in Round 1 of any tournament. Their most recent notable achievement (together) is finishing both 1st and 2nd in the WCS Season 2 SEA Qualifiers Stage 1.
PSiArc currently sits at Rank 3 of OSC Rankings, with 777.5 points and 4 tournaments won already. PSiArc is known as the best Japanese player currently, with a very drop-oriented play as Terran. He must be very happy to have found a new team that will be able to support him! Here's a little of what PSiArc has to say about DuSt Gaming so far, and what he has to share about his life.
Hello PSiArc, you're being interviewed once again! For the sake of new readers, could you introduce yourself once again?
I'm a 25-year-old Japanese Terran player. I used to be a mid-high KR master player back in WoL and once quit playing just before HotS expansion came out, but I came back last year and currently playing for DuSt Gaming!
Congratulations on your new team! How has the first few days been so far?
It's been really great! They are all nice guys and Bidoux the manager of the team helps me a lot. I played a lot of non-stop customs even on the very first day I joined!
That's good to hear, I'm sure everyone's gonna have higher expectations now. Looking forward to see you win more tournaments!
Let's talk about things that are more non-SC2 related. What is a day-to-day life for PSiArc like?
Currently I play sc2 in no-life style. I wake up at around 8:00 in morning if I didn't mess up the life pattern. While still absent minded I have breakfast which is rice and miso soup and fish or tofu most of the time, then I analyze my replays or vods to gear up, and ladder until my lunch. I think highly of 1-7hours after I get up because my mind is fully awake and functions well, so I prefer to practice a lot around this time. After my lunch I play SC2 again, go for some walking for a change if I start losing in a row or after playing 2-3 hours. Now it's evening. It's around this time I take a short nap to keep my mind clear especially in case I have some tournaments to play. If I have no tournaments to play, I sometimes do some chores like cooking/cleaning/shopping, or studying something for a change. After dinner and bath I play SC2 when I feel motivated, but if not I just spend time having fun watching anime/reading books until I go to bed, my brain starts feeling tired anyway and practice tends to be inefficient.
Wow, that's really detailed! What are your plans next in your life? A job? Or finding a special someone to settle down with?
I'd like to give it a try to get as good as I can first before starting to work and becoming a part-time gamer (late this year I think, earlier if I don't keep improving), because I really want to see the view from the top even just for once! After I've put enough efforts to convince myself I have no talent to be a progamer with or when I feel I'm fed up with SC2, I'd search for any job I can get because I'm not a great guy in real life, but I'm interested in health care field so I think I'll want to go in that direction.
As for settling down with a special someone, I don't think I will anytime soon lol.
(Damn, PSiArc is so humble!)
Fun question before we end this short interview. If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
I'd establish an esports organization and a team house in Japan myself, and offer a salary to vaisravana and Albion. they are very talented but already planning to retire, I don't want to lose them T_T and cheer up the literally dying Japanese scene too of course.
Additional info: yeah >< Albion is really talented. When I heard he used to be a CS player and never played RTS before SC2, and he reached NA GM after only playing for a little over a year while attending university... I was like wtf....
It's a pity both of them are going to retire! Any last words before we end the interview?
I really thank you guys in the SEA community, I received attention because of SEA tournaments and was able to find the team! Even though the team I joined isn't a SEA team, I do care about all you SEAmen!! I'll show more good games in the future!!
DemiLove is also no stranger to anyone. He is ranked 5 on the OSC Rankings, with 670 points and also 4 tournaments won. DemiLove boasts at 60.67% win rate in ZvZ according to aligulac's recent form for him. DemiLove has been hot lately, always consistently finishing well. Maybe we'll see him in WCS Season 3 Challenger! Here's what DemiLove probably has to say.
I'd like to thank freeedom for this opportunity! I'm so excited to be on this team and I can't wait to get good practice with my teammates. I'm finally on the same team as EnDerr, and I won't lose ZvZ anymore!
Jokes aside, DemiLove is really happy to join PSISTORM. freeedom is a boss (literally as well) and I have already heard of some good things he has done for DemiLove! Looking forward to see freeedom bossing around and continue supporting EnDerr and DemiLove!
Let's congratulate and encourage these players who may represent us internationally in the future!
Congrats once again to both of these amazing players!!
Glad that they have found both good teams (not quite sure of DuSt tho but eh)
Hope to see even more amazing results in the future :3

Will be interesting to see how Demi goes... Psistorm is a very good team with an amazing manager in freeedom, so demi will have all of the tools at his disposal to make that next step up and have a good crack at premier.
