I've been practicing against AI trying to max out as quick as possible, not missing probes, pylons, etc, and I'm wondering from any higher up tosses what is a good time to max out with gateway units, gate + robo, that sort of thing.
Also what are good amounts of probes to hit at like 6min, 8min, 10min. I'd just like an idea of how I'm doing macro wise.
E.g my last one, At 10min, I had 57 probes, and maxed out at 13:30. I'm silver if that matters.
In a match were there is no trading it's not unreasonable to say that getting maxed by 15 is you goal. That is if you have constant production and having the appropriate facilities.
Also you should have 60 probes by 12 minutes. I struggle with that but it's good to aim for.
Good luck

The best way to get better is keep playing and work on timings to expand as fast as you can safetly and keep those probes and pylons going. its also about saturation on the bases such as if you have 2 bases you want 2 lines of probes on each bases minerals asap not 2 and a half in main and 1 and a half in natural. Don't get too tunnel visioned on maxing out either.
Yeah as stallion said don't get too focused on maxing out because maxing out and probes/pylons are generally different things! Practicing against an AI is also good, but if you get into the mindset of practicing against an AI who can't really attack you, your playstyle becomes slightly more greedy - you have to remember that in a multiplayer game, your timings could be a little off. Generally you want 60-70 probes on 3 bases, when you get your third base is a slightly more variable timing.
I use AI to practice openers and strict builds, test latency, and teach (coaching).
I use ladder to practice in general cause it's more unpredictable and forces me to do the right things I need to do in order to win (macro, scouting, micro, etc...).
Different builds will have a different max out time.
The type of practise you describe is really working on your mechanics. You should also be moving your army around while you are doing this (make sure it is hot keyed correctly). You should also be checking your average unspent resources and average APM at the end of each game.
