KotHotS #1
Introducing a simple KOTH-concept inspired styled tournament
How does it work?
All interested players for weekend #1 will nominate themselves in this thread by 30th August (Saturday).
If you wish to nominate another, please ensure that the person you nominate acknowledges it in the thread to confirm that he/she is able to play.
A public poll will then be created and everyone gets to vote, who they want to see facing off in weekend #1 on the 7th September.
The voting will end 3 September.
The top 3 most voted will then have the opportunity to play.
What is the format?
The most voted player will be A, 2nd most voted B and 3rd most voted C.
A will battle it out with B in a BO5.
The winner will then have to battle C in another BO5.
What are the stakes?
Honour, Glory, Fame!
OSC Points
Winner of each set will be awarded 15 OSC points; Loser will be awarded 5 OSC points. A total of 20 OSC points per BO5 set!
Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 16: 5 OSC points
Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 17-32 ranked equal or higher then themselves: 2.5 OSC points
Anyone ranked 16th - 9th beats anyone ranked equal or higher then themselves: 2.5 OSC points
1st - 8th have no chance to earn bonus points
Prize pool
The King who beats his opponent in both sets will walk away with $10 (AUD).
What if the winner (A or B) of the first set loses to player C?
He does not get to cash out for that weekend i.e. no cash prize will be paid out.
BUT the money will be snowballed into the 2nd and 3rd weekend set evenly. i.e. Weekend 2 and 3 will now have $15 as the prize.
Player C will have the option to be Player A in the next round. And only the top 2 voted for the next round will enter the next arena as Player B and C respectively.
What if there is no cash out in weekend #2 either?
Then the prize pool for weekend #3 will be $30. Get it now?
Other points to note?
The overall winner [after receiving the cash payout] of each weekend will be respectfully asked to skip the next round to allow for others to have more opportunities to participate in this.
There will be 3 rounds/sets (one every 2 weekends).
If anyone in the top 3 most voted should be unable to play due to last minute commitments, the opportunity will be given to the next most voted etc.
Date : 7 September, 2014 Sunday Time : 4pm AEST/ 2pm SGT/ 6pm NZT Server : SEA (ILOVESC2SEA) Stream : TBA
May the Games Begin!

Surely the most voted should be C (the initial king)? O_o
