Indie developers greenheartgames decided to fight piracy in the coolest way possible. You can read their full story here, all these screenshots are from there!
Yes, they deiced to fight piracy by leaking a pirated demo version of their game which made players bankrupt, prompting complaints such as this.
It was quite said to see how many people were actually paying for the game.
Not sure if this was deliberately but it got them an amazing amount of exposure from every major gaming site which usually would not care about an indie game like this. How cool is that! And at the very least it showed how addictive the game was, like a demo which people wanted to download.
iaguz had this to say: that's hilarious I thought the immortal pink scorpian of Serious Sam 3 was the height of anti piracy measures but that is the current king. (in SS3) basically about 12 minutes into the first level just as it gives you a proper gun this pink scorpion shows up and just murders you and it's immortal. you have no chance against it on any difficulty that's what you get for pirating it!

So how was the actual game itself? I bought it right away after reading their story. I thought their marketing creativity would naturally show in the game they developed too. Its only $9.90 SGD anyway and it turned out to be pretty damn good and innovative! And its their first game ever, unbelievable! Its the best business SIM I've played in years, and thats why I decided to make a news post about the game. I am sure you will hear more from them in the future.
It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.
