Taking the reins from Elusory, this tournament shall continue! For those who do not know what the GPDL is, it is a league dedicated to bringing out the best of the and players within SEA! The GPDL also aims to promote a friendly and competitive atmosphere for its players.
Elusory will be stepping down as the host/organiser of the tournament and has allowed me to fill his shoes!
The objective of the GPDL is the same as it always has been: To bring out the best of SC2SEA's players, whilst also giving the community the motivation to continue playing, prove their worth and also to let Elusory's idea continue on.
With the recent "Ex-Master" concerns of the past seasons, and Blizzards apparent "fix" for the MMR and leagues, there should be no issue for any of the players signing up.For players who have, like the GPD Open, struggled to return back to league for the past 2 season can send me a skype message (Shane_lee1097) to appeal to join the tournament. I shall assess this based on few criteria, such as #dedication, number of times achieved and attitude.
For people who primarily ladder only on KR, with the recent inflation of the Master league on KR I shall NOT permit any current season KR Master players from joining this tournament.
In regards to smurfing, there will always been an eye open for you lot, and if any suspicion is drawn towards you then you shall be throughly investigated (Kappa) and dealt with accordingly.
Do consider the following if you're thinking of smurfing in this low-prize-money tournament:
1. You may have won the whole tournament full of . You have gained your momentary recognition as winner of GPDL. But, when you have been discovered that you're a smurf, is it going to be that great after all? You can probably do that, but I would prefer the glory of winning the tournament going to someone who really deserves it.
2. If you want to feel good about beating up some , why not just hit the ladder with a fresh account (borrow from someone, hop on to another server) and get to ?
3. You're gonna have to devote yourself every single week till the end of the tournament. Because you're gonna win it all eventually right? Do not waste your time...
