About the Community Opens
Sc2sea.com's very own community tournament, held every Wednesday starting between 6PM-8PM SGT and proudly funded and run by the community. With absolutely zero restrictions in place, this is our most competitive regular tournament open to everyone and anyone good enough to win is entitled to all the fame and honour it brings!!
If you are a caster or an organiser who would like to help in some way to this event by casting the games or helping organise the brackets, please send the Head Admin Paroxysm a pm here with the following application info.

Please note that your application is also a representation of your commitment as a potential staff member on the site. If you submit short one word answers it wouldn't give us the impression you would do your staff duties with much effort too, but at the same time its best to be clear and concise with your application and not give overly long answers.

Format
1v1, Single Elimination, 32 participants, registration on a first come first served basis. Best of 1s till semi finals stage, then best of 3s. Who:
Anyone who has a SEA Bnet account is welcome to sign up! All you need to do is enter your Bnet ID (name.###) in your sc2sea.com profile here, if you haven't done so already How?:
Use bnet to find your opponent and arrange your games. Use the sc2sea.com chatbox to update Admins with your results and also if you encounter any problems. (i.e opponent offline). If all else fails, pm the admins via their battle.net IDs which will be listed in every week's post. Replays:
Only replays of the tournament winner needs to be saved. The replay pack of the tournament winner will be posted on sc2sea.com for all to see and its the winner's responsiblity to email all the replays to mezzastarcraft@gmail.com. No replay pack = no prize money! Please include "sc2sea.com Community Open #(no.) replay pack" in the subject! Replay File Name Format:

The first map will change on a weekly basis, read the week's info thread for confirmation. For BO3s Subsequent map selection will be by loser's pick. The map pool will be all the maps in the official Battle.net ladder map pool Except Scrap Station, Steppes of War and Jungle Basin for balance reasons. Prize Collection:

Disconnects at >3 mins according to game time are counted as losses unless both players agree to replay the match. Semis and Finals disconnects may be requested by an admin for a replay after review.
Bug exploits, hacks, cheats, etc. will grant you an instant disqualification.
You must allow all event organizers/casters/official staff (official mods will be ALL of the sc2sea moderators/admins/streamers/casters: Mezza, Tourniquet, Frequency, Sizematters, nirvAnA, sheepy, Kelly, JacZie etc. as well as any other streamers, which will be confirmed via the info post) entry to your games as spectators/referees upon request.
