Maybe have an option to personalize the channels shown in the live streams section, so that you could add some other streamer, so that only you can see it along with the ones everyone else can see too.
Just some of my thoughts on things which have been brought up so far -
Having less information on the front page / removing the sidebars - I don't think it's necessary to remove information to make it less intimidating. I think part of the problem is the information density and how heavy the design is. Dropping the sidebars I think will make things harder to navigate because it will hide a lot of content, I'm not convinced that forcing people to use the header more is a plus.
Following streams / linking your Twitch account - I like this idea and will look into the feasibility.
Upcoming events - This is totally open submission here, so it's really up to users to add international events.
Tournament page - Yeah, it's pretty useless at the moment. Would probably be better served by replacing it with a OSC portal (which is being actively thought about, the reason it hasn't happened yet is I haven't got a good way to keep it filled).
Achievements - Personally I'd like greater acknowledgment of tournament performance or #dedication, but we don't have any designers to make the icons. But, if you think people are deserving of the existing ones, bug the mods to hand them out!
DLC - Well, we used to have replays, but not many people uploaded them and the list was always the same so it got demoted to a small link. We could bring that back.
These are just my quick thoughts for the moment, keep the ideas and discussion coming!
Allow members to apply to a house clan on their clan page, if accepted by an admin of the clan, the clan tag is automatically added to their username on the site.
You'd have a small flood of name change requests, but it would cut down on name change requests in the long run as players would no longer need to request a change when they join/leave a clan.

This seems like a really good design idea, but I feel like the only problem for this is that there are barely anymore active clans to choose from. It's just a small number of options and that's really it. It wasn't like back in 2013 when tons of clans were alive lol
