Its been a little while since we have done one of these as its been a very busy time for our leadership team. With the new one in place things are moving along well again and I even have time to write this! Recently we have taken part in quite a few clan wars, unfortunately many of them have seen us being defeated however they have for the majority been very close fights! vs AxiS (5-1 win) - FS star: Moofang (all kill) vs mGG (4-2 win) - FS star: BenAD (3 kill) vs mGG (2-3 loss) - FS star: ShadowMamba and Totodile (wins) vs ToR (2-4 loss) - FS star: Moofang (2 kill) vs AxiS (2-5 loss) - FS star: HayrOb and ShadowMamba (wins) vs eMp (2-4 loss) - FS star: Moofang and Flamga (wins) All Leagues vs eQ (3-5 loss) - FS star: Moofang (2 kill) We have several potential players trialling with us at the moment, but in the last month we haven't had any new members sign up. Our most recent additions have been Washo ( ), Buu/Totodile ( ), Pheetus ( ) and GrayFox ( ). With the new ladder rules and the reducing of the masters pool, its been hard to get a good picture of promotions and demotions. Currently we still do not have many high level players, making M/GM clan wars still impossible for us. We are still very much looking for new members to join us and play in clan wars. So if you are clanless and are looking for a home the Fusion Slugs would like to chat to you.

New Leadership Team for the Slugs!

Today marks the end of a long search and a lot of thought and planning. As was recently discussed on SC2SEA (http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php?t=7474) the leadership team of BenAD, Del, Jhedjuka and Zomgrofl are all finding life getting in the way for various reasons and are unable to put in the time to run the Slugs on their own. And thus we are here today with the announcement of our new leadership team and structure. Clan Senior Leadership The old leadership team will remain as the Senior Leadership team. BenAD will continue to lead the clan as Clan Captain, with Jhedjuka moving up to second in command (2IC). Del and Zomgrofl make up the four member team and all four will focus on the overall development and progression on the clan. Divisional Leadership The new leadership team will take care of the more day to day running of each division of the Fusion Slugs. All of the leadership team have been members of the clan for the past 6 months and in fact most for over 9 months. They have all taken part in clan wars and many have helped behind the scenes. I am so proud of all of them and happy they are willing to take the next step. Our new structure see a captain and vice captain for each division, as well as a clan manager role, who works between the division leadership team and the senior leadership to get things done. But lets go through the new team! Fusion Slugs - Why so Quiet!

So this is half news update, half blog, but I just wanted to give you all a bit of an update. It has been a bit quiet on the Fusion Slug front but this has mostly been due to a few unfortunate timings. As most know we had SEACL and I myself helped admin Tier 5. We also had four teams entered overall and had a lot of other things we were juggling with our members (like assisting with the Masters of Koreign, the Illusion Cup etc). As we got into SEACL many of our core leadership team were busy trying to release BioShock Infinite. This and other projects since meant our BSG leader FSDel had to stop having a hands on presence with the BSG team and he was only able to turn up to run the side for the SEACL games. I myself was working on the game, so between that, running the slugs and SEACL I was a very busy boy! Once SEACL ended zomgrofl, our PD leader informed we he no longer had the time either due to personal reasons and our M/GM leader Jhedjuka took on a new job, which meant he had to leave Korea to China, with a holiday in between to England. This meant he would be away for a few months (and is working hard at getting decent internet and rejoin us!) This all co-incided with the end of BioShock Inifinte as I mentioned, but the end of that game was also the end of my job, as I was on a contract until that game shipped. The good news was that I got my new job lined up as it ended. Its a fantastic opportunity with an Australian company, which is small and looking to grow in games and let me share in its growth. Of course to get this growth, you need to put in the hours. With the other three section leads away and myself locked down in late nights, the slugs have had a rough time in terms of leadership. But things are slowly moving. We are currently holding application for new leadership in our various levels, working underneath myself, Jhedjuka (and Zom,Del when they are ready). The slugs have been around almost 1.5 years now and we have a lot of people who have been in the clan a long time, but havent had a chance to run things. This is their chance. To be clear, no I am not leaving the clan or stepping down. Not a chance My intention is that these new leaders will run their divisons, recruit, plan/lead clan wars and help myself, jhedjuka, del and zomgrofl make a better Fusion Slugs. To those who have asked how we are going or passed on well wishes, we appreciate it. Expect more news soon!
