do people who are born deaf have intellectual thoughts? I think in English and if you were born deaf you wouldn't know a language so how could you think?
Same with dogs, what do they think in? Are their barks their language?
If there are other intelligent life forms do you think they would have invented shit like the wheel or the steam engine?
Why are some people so ******* stupid and cannot settle a dispute with words. And how are some people so immature they hold grudges against people who they argue with?
Why are things like alchole and cigerettes legal when weed isn't.. This makes no sense to me.
Why is it legal to eat while driving?
Why do people think they deserve respect when they don't show respect to others?
Why is tv so ******* shit? Why do people give a shit that Kim kardashian got divorced?
Why do people litter?
I hope you liked my thoughts crazerk
extra thought: typing a lot on iPod touch sucks nuts.

Pretty sure you could still learn a language without being able to hear, just by sight I suppose. You could still learn by principles of association but I won't bore you with that.

I thought iPod had Autocorrect.

Yes, along with whatever non-verbal cues they have (just like how humans have non-verbal cues)
I really, really, REALLY wish I was baked as **** right now. Reading that blog baked would have been amazing, and I know I woulda sat here for hours pondering everything you've said.

Everyone can reason to some extent. I think people born deaf probably take longer to think in a way that other people would be able to understand because they don't have the words to associate to different concepts. They would, however, have ways of thinking about different concepts that are quite rational. As they grow up they would learn their native language through the written word and then be able to construct thoughts in what you would call an intellectual way.
Deaf people are not any smarter or dumber than anyone else, but they may think differently because they haven't had language from as young an age as people who can hear. This may even have the advantage of letting them more successful think about and understand abstract concepts.

Dogs barks are like the verbal utterances that people make that do not correspond to actual words. They are an emotional response, not generally an intellectual response. Dogs are 'smart' enough to learn associations and remember people and places, but they do not have intelligence on the level of a human. Their barks, whimpers and other vocalisations are one way you can tell the mood of the animal, but they are not language in the sense that English is a language.

minimat, I am curious, do you think there are other intelligent life forms? Or, if you do not like that question, what do you think is the likelihood of their being other intelligent life forms?

Haha, I could get into a religious debate with this point, but I will stick with general observations for now. Everyone has an ego, their sense of who they are and how important they are. Too many people attach their self-worth with their ideas, beliefs and convictions. This means that if you attack an idea or belief they hold, they need to defend it. If they do not, and are proved wrong, then all of a sudden there is a part of them which is wrong. Because of this, people will defend blatantly wrong points of view indefinitely because they are comfortable with who they are and where they are because it is familiar. This phenomenon happens to the extent that people will avoid changing their point of view to something that would help them immensely because they identify themselves with their current situation and circumstances and changing their point of view could change them, their situation, their circumstances, their life direction in extreme cases. I have heard it said, and I can agree from experience, that people are more willing to wallow in a bad place that is familiar (intellectually, emotionally, circumstantially it doesn't really matter) than move to a better place that is currently unknown or unexperienced.

Why are things like alchole and cigerettes legal when weed isn't.. This makes no sense to me.
Because alcohol in small doses is not harmful, and cigarettes were not found harmful until cigarette companies were powerful enough to prevent making them illegal. Cigarettes will hopefully disappear over the next 50 years, but I do believe that it will take that long to finally get rid of them.
As for weed, there are enough dangers that are associated with taking weed that there really isn't any question that it should be illegal, and there has never been a big legalised industry surrounding it (like cigarettes) to either make it legal or keep it legal.
My personal stance, alcohol is fine in and of itself, but way too many people abuse it; cigarettes and weed are both so harmful that they should be illegal.

Why is it legal to eat while driving?
This I do not know except for the fact that you can not legislate for absolutely everything. There has to be limits or nobody who know whether any individual act is illegal, and in what circumstances. I do find the drink and drive one slightly humorous in the fact that it is legal to drink and drive, and I do it on long trips, as long as the drink is non-alcoholic. The drinking or eating itself is distracting you from the road, and I would be very careful about where you do such activities, but alcohol affects your perceptions, hence the ban on 'drink' driving. It should possibly be called 'drunk' driving, but then you'd have people complaining that they are not actually drunk.

Comes back to people's egos. As far as everyone is concerned, they are the centre of the universe. Our society teaches this concept, but if everyone is the centre of the universe, then nothing works as it should. This is the direction society in general is going towards, and more and more people are working out that it just doesn't work, not really. It is not sustainable.

TV is rubbish because the people that want to watch the decent shows will download them off of the Internet instead. This means that the TV stations do not get the viewers that they should, so they can not get the advertising revenue they would if they put on a show that appeals to the demographic that will still at home and watch whatever is on at that point in time. The people are generally, but not always, the sorts of people that like to live vicariously through the reality and game shows and soaps even if they do not always realise this is why they are watching them.
Also, I do not recall ever hearing of Kim Kardashian.

Because people are lazy.
Let me know what you think of my answers, and where you disagree.
I agree with everything you say apart from the bit on alcohol and weed. Alcohol is way more unhealthy/harmful then weed is. You can't OD on weed, no reported cases of lung cancer soley from weed. Alcohol causes so much more harm then weed does. Couldn't really be bothered getting into an argument about it as IMO it should be down to personal preferance.
I don't really know if I think there are intelligent life forms somewhere. I think there might be.
All drugs should be legal, it's something I believe should happen and so do a lot of the leading crime units/task forces fighting the lost war on drugs. (I don't do recreational drugs, so I'm not being biased btw lol)
It's not going to happen though
