So after hearing about Pox's return to Starcraft 2, I decided to shoot him a few questions about why he left and what his plans are for the future. Here's how it went down:
Pox: "The last time we saw you play SC2 was last night around 1am. When did you decide to you wanted to leave the professional scene?"
Pox: "I decided to take a break around 10 hours ago when I wanted to get on with life, close my eyes, sleep for 7 hours, etc. I was getting a bit bored of losing to Protoss so I decided to take it easy, turn off the computer and just lay down for a while. Retiring from the profession was not an easy decision - I had to return the left third of my keyboard that my sponsors provided and would no longer be receiving my one figure salary, so I had to find another way to support myself."
Pox: "What sparked your interest in returning to Starcraft 2?"
Pox: "Well I turned on my computer and saw the SC2 icon. Having no self-control, I immediately gave in. Most games are played for fun, but this one is different - the point of Starcraft is a career path, with literally hundreds of dollars a year in the national scene. It's a hard job full of bullshit imba cheesing hackers, but I'm a truly dedicated worker."
Pox: "I guess that means we can look forward to seeing you in more ladder games then. What have you what have you got planned for the future?"
Pox: "Yeah I will definitely be playing in more games in the future, but for now I will be pulling all my scvs as much as I can to get more wins than I once did. In particular if I break in to the coveted SEA GM league I hope to get a free mousepad as payment for my hours of arduous slavery."
Pox: "Can't wait! Now for something completely random and corny. If you were a Starcraft unit, what would you be? explain your answer."
Pox: "One of the lasery ones. Because of the lasers."
Pox: "Thanks for your time. Any final words as we wrap this up?"
