Prizepool will start at $50 USD, but may increase to $100+.
OSC Points + Bonuses to be won!
2016 has been a huge year for OSC + SEA Players. We're thrilled that the growth of the League ($200k + 300 tournament season) has lead to increased recognition for regions highest ranked players, and player benefits improve for active OSC competitors. However, one thing that has been missing is a dedicated regular SEA Only Cup!
The OSC have been trying/supporting various partners to get a dedicated SEA Only practice event up all year, but it has proven a little difficult. We've run 10 Melee Tournaments intermittently, but the plan was to replace them with ASL SEA Weeklies (4 completed), which would offer pathways into bigger monthly finals. However there have been unexpected delays with this franchise outside of our and the organisers control, resulting in less cups than desired. Another issue has been finding a dedicated and experienced admin, who isn't already tied up in other projects.
So we've decided to go ahead and run our own SEA Weekly Event, and sc2sea legacy Nemesis has stepped up to help out admin! Sounds like a winning formula!
Running this on Sunday's may lead to Sunday's occasionally being double or triple OSC event days, but we think the more games and chances for $'s to be won the better!
Default server is AU, but to try and be fair on our SEA brothers + sisters, the following is recommended if an ANZ + SEA player are matched: G1 AU, G2 SEA, G3 AU
Single Elimination. All series Bo3. Finals Bo3 or Bo5 (mutually decided between players and admin informed.) Channel OSC (NA) . There is a 3rd placement match.
If we should have under 16 players, the format will be converted to Double Elimination. All upper brackets will be Bo3 while lower brackets are Bo1 and the lower bracket finals which will be a Bo3 (determines 3rd place winner). Grand finals is either 2 Bo3s or 1 Bo5 (1 up), to be decided mutually between players before start of series. Admin should be informed of the decision before start of series.
It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

This is great news. awesome! Can really see the competitiveness of the scene jumping up with something to practice for every week. Has felt quite stale lately without SEAcraft or Noodle cup.
Sign up links will be up 3-4 days before each Sunday. The first one starts this Sunday and will be up 3-4 days before then. The link will be in the calender on sc2online but I'll probably spam it around on this site as well So just watch out for it!
It is open to all leagues so do join in when you can ^^
As for whether there will be 8 or less people participating... prove elusory wrong and make it alive and active
I know a lot of people were asking for a SEA only weekly cup. Now it's actually happening and the best way to sustain it, is to sign up and participate in it regularly
If you aspire to want to help out in casting (whether after your own games or only for the semis/finals or the entire tourney or even regularly!), just pm me on skype or on this site and you are more than welcome, if someone has not beaten u to it.
So hope to see many peeps joining it regularly and spread the word around
