So the SOTL Playoffs are here and this week sees two of my favourite SEA teams playing; SYF vs the Devious Meta Ducks.

While a team of mercs is always a big favourite, I feel there is more spirit and preparation from the established teams. This is one of the strongest pick up merc teams from Australia/SEA filled with some of best players in this region, while SYF have shown great form in this league so far, we haven't had to fight such a strong team until now...

I wanted to go through my thoughts and predictions.

Paladino Terminal LE: Crimson iNewZealand vs PSiArc
Proxima Station LE: Chase vs Azure
Cactus Valley LE: HuT Terran Australia vs vaisravana
Honorgrounds LE: Rize Seither
Abyssal Reef LE: MightyKiwi iNewZealand Probe
Bel'Shir Vestige LE: Ice iaguz

+ [Crimson vs PSiArc] +

Crimson is such a solid player and I feel will be able to control the tempo of the game and close out a long macro bout between these two. PSiArc is a very solid player, but I give Crimson the edge for their match.

+ [Chase vs Azure] +

Chase and Azure have a good rivalry, but I feel Chase has been pulling the wins in the clutch situations more than Azure so I'd give a historic edge to Chase - however, Azure has been in fine form and Chase busy with uni, this could go either way.

+ [Hut vs vaisravana] +

Hut is the obvious choice, while vai has shown some great games of late, HuT's rise to form as one of the best Terrans in Australia is in full force and the solid play style should fair well against vaisravana.

+ [Rize vs Seither] +

Seither is the best player in Australia at the moment and I'm confident he will take this out. However, I know how well Rize has been playing lately and maybe he can get something past Seither un-noticed and get the win..

+ [MightyKiwi vs Probe] +

MightyKiwi vs Probe is probably one of the closer matches in this one.. I'd give the edge to Probe, as he has shown some solid PvZ over the years, however if David can get on top of any timing from Probe and control the pace of the game he is certainly at the calibre of Probe and could take the win.

+ [Ice vs iaguz] +

Iaguz wins - this will be a one sided afair (Sorry ice) iaguz is too strong... If Ice can pull some magic and get a win, its BO1 after all, I'll be blown away!

+ [Overall prediction] +

3-3 with a tight game in the end, if Seither is ace for DMD then they should take the win, but with any other ace player there is potential for an upset.

Uncle Ben uses his years of wisdom to formulate the perfect strategy. However, if PSiArc runs like Naruto it might throw Uncle Ben off his game and allow PSiArc to get the win, but I give it to Uncle Ben 60/40. SYF 1-0

Craig has been very confident that his team will take this, but in the moment of his victory, he will imagine Chase's sad face in his mind if he loses, and feel too bad and forfeit the match. SYF 2-0.

HuT against Vaisravana ends early after Vaisravana passes out from blood loss after deciding to CUT4HUT. SYF 3-0

Right before the games start, Seither will find out that the SOTL Finals have been changed so they're a LAN event. Seither won't want to go to a LAN, so he will not try very hard and lose. SYF 4-0. EVEN IF SEITHER WINS though...

Davdav vs Probe. David will make 2 lings. The lings will attack a gateway once and Probe will instantly go on Twitter and say "I'M SO ******* BAD WHY DO I EVEN PLAY THIS GAME." and be very tilted, allowing David to pick up the win.

In conclusion, SYF 4-0, 4-1 at worst.
